Below is a sampling of my recent Fractional CMO and CGTMO engagements, some of which are ongoing. In all cases, the listed client has given me written permission to use their logo and company name in my marketing efforts. Some clients prefer to not be mentioned publicly, and those companies are not listed here—but I am happy to discuss those engagements via a video call.

DrivenIQ—Fractional CGTMO (1 Year Ongoing)

DrivenIQ is an advanced cookieless audience identification, enrichment, expansion and attribution platform for marketers within B2C and B2B environments. Purchased in August of 2022 by Capstone Technologies, this emerging tech firm is looking to scale top line revenue by 3x per year for the next three years as part of an eventual round of public financing. The engagement with DrivenIQ is ongoing, and includes GTM optimization of key revenue-generating functions—both Channel and Direct Sales—as well heavy involvement in Demand Generation, Sales and Channel Enablement, and Remessaging / Rebranding efforts.

Wowza—Interim CMO (12 Months)

Wowza is a leading video streaming engine for Enterprises, Media Organizations and Solution Builders, purchased by Clearhaven Partners in June of 2021. My year-long Interim role included working with the PE firm, Board of Directors and existing ELT to complete a massive, year-long CEO transition and GTM transformation. Outcomes included comprehensive GTM plans, accelerated lead generation, alignment of Marketing and Revenue teams, new product messaging, multiple new product rollouts, a complete restructuring of the Marketing team, and onboarding of a new CEO.

10KC—Fractional CMO (6 Months)

Ten Thousand Coffees (10KC) is a leading SaaS-based platform provider in the Corporate and Enterprise HR Tech sector, specializing in streamlining and automating internal, peer-to-peer mentoring programs. The company was partially acquired by PE firm Five Elms Capital in October of 2022, and is seeking significant revenue acceleration over the next three years. This engagement included deep dives into all Marketing-focused GTM motions—as well as a critial analysis of budget, staffing, marketing analytics, performance measurement, demand generation and overall marketing strategy. My contribution also included extensive mentorship and coaching of the existing Marketing team.

Foundant Technologies—GTM Advisor (2 Months)

Foundant Technologies is a leading SaaS-based platform provider in the philanthropy sector, specializing in technologies that facilitate the issuing and management of grants and scholarships. The company was acquired by PE firm L Squared Capital Partners in February of 2023, and is seeking significant revenue acceleration over the next three years. This engagement included deep dives into all Marketing-focused GTM motions—as well as a critial analysis of budget, staffing, marketing analytics, performance measurement, demand generation and overall marketing strategy. My contribution also included extensive mentorship and coaching of the existing Marketing leader.

Visla—Fractional CMO and Board Advisor (8 Months)

Visla is a pre-revenue, AI-based video creation and editing platform. The company is led by CEO Huipin Zhang, the inventor of WebEx video and original founder (employee #1) of Zoom Video Communications. In addition to leading and mentoring the existing Marketing team, I have developed and implemented multiple strategic initiatives to transition Visla from a B2C-focused product to a true, full-featured Enterprise offering. Key initiatives have included development of new Enterprise-focused messaging and use cases, definition of the Enterprise Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), advisement on Enterprise pricing and packaging, growth approaches for premium subscribers, multiple major release announcements, implementation of an Analyst Relations motion, and a full corporate rebrand.

G2Planet—Fractional CMO & GTM Advisor (20 Months Ongoing)

G2Planet is an established event technology firm deep into the process of a full product and corporate relaunch, including rebuilding of the Executive Team and pursuit of its first round of external funding. This engagement is currently ongoing, and will involve a full corporate rebrand, ground-up construction of a new marketing team, rebuilding of the entire value creation chain from demand generation through closed sales, and securing of a second round of financing. Projects completed to date include a new investor pitch, updated sales enablement materials, a new Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), rollout of a new website and creation of a thought leadership educational series.

OpenReel—GTM Advisor (2 Months)

OpenReel is a SaaS-based remote video production platform provider in the Enterprise and Agency sectors. After receiving its Series A funding from Five Elms Capital in March of 2021, OpenReel is looking to leverage several new product and feature releases into a second round of funding. This engagement included independent research, key stakeholder interviews and key client interviews in development of several new GTM motions—as well as updated product and company messaging, re-definition of Ideal Cutomer Profiles (ICPs) and new pricing and packaging recommendations.

Excel Nearshore IT—Fractional CMO (1 Year)

Excel Nearshore is a midsized IT staff augmentation firm, specializing in placing nearshore IT teams out of Costa Rica into Global 2000 companies. This engagement is currently ongoing, and has focused on raising the visibility of the company, re-balancing GTM investments, and rebranding the company to include a new web presence. Projects completed to date include a new Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), updated key messaging, re-aligned campaign budgets, thought leadership content creation, new CTAs and a proposed go-forward Marketing Team structure.

Corvex Connected Worker—GTM Advisor (3 Months)

Corvex is a pre-inflection point startup in the conected worker space—a space that is noisy, poorly defined and loaded with competitors who claim to have the same feature set. This was a large, multi-month engagement that included a complete revamp of corporate messaging, product differentiation analysis, use case re-definition, development of new buying personas, updated sales enablement tools and an inbound lead generation strategy. I also developed several thought leadership pieces, which helped to more firmly define the space as a whole and where Corvex fits within it.

Aleran Software—GTM Advisor (2 Months)

Aleran is a post-Series A platform provider in the B2B e-commerce space, competing for clients against firmly established and dominant players like Adobe Commerce, Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud and Shopify. This engagement focused specifically on demand acceleration and pipeline-building activities—upgrading current lead generation assets and calls to action
(CTAs), streamlining existing demand generation processes, revamping messaging and positioning, and developing new Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs). This engagement also included activity around optimization of the customer demo process.
